*Supervise the implementation of housekeeping standards and procedures.
*Open and close the shift and ensure effective shift hand over.
*Assist with the preparation of efficient departmental work schedules.
*Conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known.
*Assist with the recruitment of staff
*Conduct on the job training in accordance with the departmental standards, and record progress of staff.
*Ensure new staff complete their orientation
*Perform Room allocations.
*Perform Room inspections to Audit standards.
*Liaise with Front Office for guest and hotel requirements.
*Ensure guest valet is processed and delivered in a timely manner
*Co-ordinate special projects (e.g.site rooms, vermin control, window and carpet cleaning, room inventories).
*College degree / Equivalent diploma / training and certification courses in service industry / hospitality industry.
*A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in UAE in a Housekeeping Role required.
*Would have worked in a Team Leader/Supervisor position for at least 2-3 years Supervising a big team.
*Good Communication Skills. Knowledge of Arabic and Indian languages an added advantage.
*Proven team leader/Supervisor that works well in a fast paced, hourly goal driven environment
*Physically fit – the role requires medium to heavy lifting & some step lather work.
