Reservation Supervisor

Location: Dubai
*Assist Reservations Manager for forecasting inventory management and revenues both long and short-term
*Train, motivate and develop the reservation and front office staff on an ongoing basis
*Supervises and coordinates activities of colleagues engaged in taking, recording, and cancelling reservations
*Promptly Coordinates/Communicates with other HODs for all reservations related issues or matters.
*Supervise and monitor the daily operations of Reservations in accordance with the departmental policies and procedures.
*Keep track of all LPO’s, ensure that correct rates, payment method, credit facilities, market segment, visa, flight details and other relevant information are updated in the Opera PMS.
*Ensure daily checking/audit of next day’s arrival is done by self or team and ensure LPO and relevant booking information are updated in the system

*Check all bookings done thru B2B (Wholesalers) and B2C (OTA) channels, ensuring booking details downloaded in the system matches the extranet details and rates are matching our rate for the day or the contracted rates.  Daily monitoring of no shows and cancellations, ensuring penalties are charged where applicable – according to the company policy and reporting of such in OTA extranets to avoid discrepancies in commission.
*Ensure that reservations received via CRS is downloaded to PMS and vice-versa. In case of discrepancies, to action accordingly.
*Apply standard operating procedures in your department. house fund on a daily basis and keep the safe neat and tidy
*1-2 years’ experience as Reservations Supervisor or a similar position in preferably 5 star hotels.
*Has the ability to communicate effectively in English, Arabic knowledge is an advantage.
*Has strong will to work   very flexible working hours and has the ability to work under pressure
*Proficient in Microsoft Office.
*Has knowledge of system operations such as Opera.
