Duties/Description:
Maintain high level of Customer Service as per Company Standards; process sales quickly,
accurately and efficiently, cash register operations and safeguarding Company assets. Performs activities associated with selling, stocking and ordering merchandise.
*Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change;
*Maintain clean and orderly appearance of register/checkout area;
*Greet and acknowledge every customer at the register/checkout counter;
*Maintain an awareness of all products, including promotions and advertisements;
*Ensure that all sales are recorded and accompanied by the proper sales slips;
*Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits;
*Accurately issue receipts, refunds, or change due to customers;
*Sort, count, and wrap currency and coins;
*Communicate all customer requests to your Supervisor;
*Participate in stock-taking as required by the Company;
*Ensure that merchandise for sale in the respective categories on the shop floor are well displayed and in a sell able condition.
*Ensure shop floor/ isles/ shelves and products for sale are clean to ensure enhanced purchase.
*Ensure all products on the shelf are well priced and that there is updated clear item shelf labels and ensuring that there is no price mismatch on the shelf.
*Ensure a high level of Customer Service Delivery through constant presence in the designated category for continuous customers’ assistance.
*Ensure minimal loss of merchandise through expires, damage, theft or mishandling.
*Ensure good grooming and presentations at all times while on the shop floor – Uniform and name tag/badge ALWAYS
*Ensure that an adequate preparation for stocktaking is thoroughly undertaken.
*Ensure that the isles are clear of merchandise to enhance customer movements for ease of shopping.
*Ensure that stock-out of issues are escalated and addressed promptly; checks inventory listing with actual inventory on shelf and report discrepancies to Supervisor.
*Ensure that goods are replenished in the shelves without failure, in neat and orderly appearance.
*Be attentive to customers’ needs.
*Be aware of what all customers in the shop are doing, to guard against shop lifting.
*Participate in stock-taking as required by the Company
*Be prepared to receive and undertake further training as required by the Company;
*Any other duties assigned from time to time by Management.
Qualifications:
*Male/female any nationality
*Experience as cashier
*Communication skills is must
*Freshers are welcome
